Plastic masterbatch refers to a variety of plastic additives or chemical fiber concentration, color is generally white or translucent, in the form of masterbatch directly added additives is not easy to disperse. Polypropylene is a pure hydrocarbon with a chain of carbon atoms. When heated, the molecules on the carbon atoms tend to break apart, worsening the properties of polypropylene. Therefore, the plastic masterbatch is required to be easy to diffuse in high temperature spinning, without damaging the fiber properties, and does not make the fiber fade. Excellent light resistance, wear resistance and solvent resistance are required to withstand harsh spinning and drawing.
Six plastic masterbatchquality requirements:
1. The most fundamental requirement of pigment for the selection of heat resistant plastic masterbatch is to be able to withstand the temperature in the production process of polypropylene fiber, and its stable performance is linked, and the temperature resistance is generally required to be above 270~280℃.
2. Evacuation plastic masterbatch should have good evacuation symmetry, the use of evacuation agent should not be lower than the performance of polypropylene. Otherwise, the production of high-quality raw liquid colored fiber is unstable, and it is easy to break or produce abnormal fiber when stretching the fiber.
3. Brightness Polypropylene stock coloring has a variety of different uses, used for bedspread base cloths and knitted fabrics, requiring a bright tone. Because organic pigment is brighter and more beautiful than force, it is easy to color, so through the study of use, it is concluded that enterprises need to use the method of adding organic pigment.
4. Under the action of light, some pigments have photosensitivity, so that the coloring fiber fades and becomes brittle, the light resistance of pigments is basically related to its chemical layout, so the light resistance of pigments should be rich and meticulous in the production of plastic masterbatch, when necessary, should consider adding ultraviolet absorbent.
5 stability of the pigment used in the plastic masterbatch for colored polypropylene fiber should have good stability. That is, colored fiber polymers are heated between permanent breaks, and pigments do not react with the fibers at light or high temperatures to form new chemical groups, resulting in extremely low performance. Therefore, the plastic masterbatch should choose pure pigment as far as possible, without iron, copper, lead and other salt impurities, in order to ensure that the colored polypropylene fiber has excellent physical properties.
6 plastic masterbatch water resistance, dry cleaning resistance, oil resistance, colored polypropylene fiber products in the use of the process is inevitable to use the last detergent or solvent dry cleaning, especially in the use of carpet. Therefore, the colorant used should have excellent water resistance, dry cleaning resistance and oil resistance.
